4 out of 5 stars are you kidding   August 14, 2010

i have had this phone over a year now and i love it. i have had a lot of phones over the years and this one is one of the best.

1 out of 5 stars Good basic phone, but for a premium price   August 12, 2010
Patrick Madigan (Mesa, AZ USA)
I got this phone because it had a great keyboard and display, and had a web browser that looked ok. And it was cheaper than a Droid. Overall it's been satisfactory, as a basic phone. But you can't download any apps for it, except for a few pitiful offerings... apparently nobody ever got around to developing anything for the Rogue! The web browser is awkward to use and is incredibly slow, like getting on the internet back in 1995. So none of the "cool" features are really all that great. Too much money for a phone with such limited abilities.

What's weird is that my friend has the same phone but with T-Mobile, and the web browser on their Samsung seems to be much faster, plus they get unlimited internet for only $10. I've been happy with Verizon till now, but this has me wondering if it's time to switch providers, once the contract runs out on my Verizon Rogue.

1 out of 5 stars Wow this phone sucks   July 18, 2010
marvin9679 (Millerton, NY USA)
Had to get a phone in a hurry because of circumstances id rather not mention. Went into Verizon wireless and they recomended this phone highly. Come to find out they must of had to many of them and were told to lie.The speaker has to be the worst one they could find in the junk box.The web browser is so limited its almost a joke. When you do get on web with it the font is either to small to see or if you double click it you have to chase words around screen. The speaker phone is no good as you cant hear it and audio is so low that as an alarm its useless. Before i get another phone i will look into reviews more. BTW i already had to exchange phone once due to phone failure. Same probs

1 out of 5 stars Seriously people - DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE   July 4, 2010

I am a professional sales guy who lives and dies by my phone. I also count on you other reviewers to point me in the right direction. I am killing some time today to prevent disappointment and try and discourage professional phone people from making the mistake I have. I am not usually a complainer either and this may be my second negative review in my life, but believe me when I say this, with all sincerity, but the Rogue is a piece of junk (I would use a more descriptive adjective if I could). There is another reviewer here whose title is "I hate this phone" and every day I say this. I curse this phone almost daily. If you like things that glitter and look fancy you will love this phone. However, if you are counting on this phone to be a high performance cell phone - keep looking. Here are some rants: battery dies with a 5-minute and sometimes NO WARNING; voice recognition, which I count on, is the worst I've ever used - and I have tried the "Adaption" function but sometimes it can't even recognize a YES vs. NO - how lame is that?; In my pocket this thing clicks away as the side buttons are way too sensitive; I can go on and on. I don't know how anyone can rate this phone like it's rated in this section. Take it from me, a phoneaholic - keeping looking and don't buy this pretty but worthless device.

4 out of 5 stars Touchscreen is the Future...   July 2, 2010
Krystal Hillsman (TN)
Overall, I really like this phone. I'm not itching to replace it and I'm really happy with it. However, I won't be sad to see it go when the time comes for my next upgrade.

Things I Love:
Full HTML Browser
-It's fairly fast for a cell phone
-Easy enough to navigate
-Haven't had any trouble with applications such as Facebook or You Tube
Qwerty Keyboard
-Responds well
-Haven't had any problems with letters not being entered in or hitting the wrong keys, but they are fairly small
3.0 Megapixel w/ Flash
-This takes great, high quality pictures. Very clear and they are still beautiful when uploaded to my desktop or sent through email
Screen Resolution
-Very crisp and clear thanks to the Glossy Screen
-And the default backgrounds that came with the phone are really nice to look at as well
-The screen doesn't seem to get scratched up easily either
Widget Bar!
-Fully Customizeable, Short cuts to Favorites Contacts, Calendar, Facebook, You Tube

Things I Don't Love:
-The words on the Browser are tiny and at times it's hard to click on links
-Phone doesn't have an on screen touch Qwerty Keyboard like the LG Phones
-Pretty Glossy Screen is very reflective making it difficult to see the screen in direct sunlight or flourescent lighting

Things I Hate:
-The Speaker Phone is AWFUL, it's this horrible teeny, pointless sound. I hear much better with the speaker turned off and the volume turned up

You can use this as an mp3 player by storing your songs on an optional micro sd card. The speakers on this phone are fairly decent. It always sounds better with headphones or running it through your car's speakers though, of course.

I love touchscreens phones. I don't ever want to go back to a traditional phone. I found this phone very easy to set up and use (given that I went through the Touch Screen Learning Curve already with my Dare.) The touch screen is responsive and I didn't find it clicking away to something I had not clicked on and it scrolls easily and quickly. It has a lock button the side that you can use to lock and unlock the touchscreen. You can also unlock it by pressing any button and then tapping on the lock button on the screen. I've had it unlock a few times, naturally, but it's happened far less than any other phone I've ever had.

If I had known the speakers were as bad as they were, I would have gotten a different phone. But other than that, I've been quite happy with the features on this phone.
